Lewis Parsons Hobart designed the elegant pressed brick and terra cotta residence at 2970 Broadway in 1916 for Mrs. Sidney Ehrman, the daughter of I.W. Hellman. Hobart is perhaps most well known for designing the French Gothic Grace Cathedral at 1100 California in 1928.
