The Spanish Colonial Revival at 299 Santa Paula Avenue was built in 1928, and is one of the most prominent homes in the master-planned residence park known as St. Francis Wood. Developed on a 175 acre parcel purchased from Adolf Sutro's 725 acre Mexican land grant, Rancho San Miguel, St. Francis Wood is one of eight residence parks in San Francisco.
